Ableton Live tutorial Danny J Lewis demonstrates how you can use glide to create a bend between the two notes you have played in. The time it takes for the bend to occur can be set in the parameters.

This is a free sample tutorial from our new Ableton Live Sound Design Course which launched in Jan 2012. Full details of the course here: http://www.pointblankonline.net/ableton-live-sound-design.php

In this new video tutorial, Ableton Certified Trainer Martin Delaney explains and demonstrates how to sync Liine’s Lemur controller app for iOS with Ableton Live. Martin starts by explaining the basic setup process; from downloading the app from Liine’s site, creating and connecting the software to an ad hoc network to synchronizing the Lemur Editor on your computer with the Lemur app on your iPad and Live’s MIDI preferences. At the end of the tutorial, you should have a strong idea of how to setup the Lemur with Live and have the two programs talking together. If you’re unfamiliar with the Lemur Editor, check out our previous video tutorial in which Evan Sutton explains how to create a Lemur template.

Win Isotonik devices

Update: Winners picked up! Congratulations to Brian Park, Lewis Godowski, Tomáš Miňo, Jonathan Schecter and Michael King! Please send me your emails to [email protected] in order to get your prizes.

If you own Max4Live you should know Isotonik devices. From simple features such as follow actions that perform at clip end with no prior setting to more complex on the fly looping mimicing that of Traktor or Serato, configurable scenes for the APC40 and Launchpad allow you to target any parameter within the template and decide how each button behaves…

Today we have set up a simple contest whereby you guys might get five subscriptions for the entire range: Isotonik, Oktopad and Modular series! (Each worth £16.99)

The procedure is simple:

  1. Comment this thread on Facebook (just once maximum).
  2. At the end of the day (23:59:59 UTC+0) I will pick up five lucky winners using this number generator of Random.org.
  3. Winners will be announced on social networks and right here.

(*) If you are not sure about your time zone check it out here.

Good luck everyone!

In this video Jonny Miller (Jus’Listen/Sonarpilot Audio) shows you how to add an interesting extra texture to your beats using random vocal hits, EQ and sidechain compression.
